Ms Jennifer Branch
Jennifer Branch's current position title is a little hard to categorise. Apart from being employed by the Tasmanian Department of Education working as a primary school Teacher Assistant for four days a week and the remaining day within the department's Office for Educational Review, Jennifer also wears a multitude of other closely interrelated 'educational caps' consisting of:
- Senior Vice President – Australian Council State School Organisations
- Senior Vice President – Tasmanian Council of State School P & F Associations
- Chairman – KidSafe Tasmania board
- Member – KidSafe Australia national board
- Member – Assessment, Monitoring & Reporting reference group Department of Education, Tasmania
- Chairman – Claremont High School Council
- Vice President – Abbotsfield Primary School P & F Association
- Member – Tasmania Together Benchmarking group – 'Benchmarking for Tasmanian education 2020'
In 2004, Jennifer conducted over thirty parent forums around Tasmania, to brief parents on the DoE's new 'Reporting to Parents' education policy to be introduced into all Tasmanian public schools in 2005. The forums also sought comment from parents on the new reporting style for subsequent feedback to the department. Jennifer continues to focus her daily interaction with students and parents at the local level, and to translate this valuable input through to both state and national level.
