Jocelyn Cook currently is the Manager, Educational Measurement in Monitoring Standards in Education, the unit in the Western Australian Education Department that collects data and reports on system wide student performance information.

She has extensive experience in the area of assessment and reporting, having overseen the inception and on-going management of the population testing programs, the Western Australian Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (WALNA) and MSE9. 

She also co-ordinates the design and implementation of the highly innovative random sample testing program that monitors standards of student achievement in all curriculum areas across the State. She has a particular interest in the provision of system assessment information to support teachers to improve teaching and learning.  

She has worked in education for nearly 30 years in various capacities in large metropolitan high schools and in the central office of the Department of Education and Training.
