The Linking Schools and Early Years project is working in three Victorian communities to develop ways to ensure that all children are ready to start primary school successfully. Project staff are collaborating with families and staff in selected schools, early childhood education and family care services, and local governments. The project builds on research highlighting the value of these collaborative activities in meeting the needs of children who are entering school for the first time.
