ArticlesImplementing an ICT centre for school and communityCity Learning Centres are ICT-based facilities located at selected secondary schools in Britain. The article reports on a CLC in northern England after six months' operation. The research may be of interest to Australian school leaders planning substantial upgrades of technological resources, examining existing and potential links with their local communities, or considering ways to share costly technological resources with other schools. The report also addresses more general issues such as the impact of technology on teaching; teachers' professional learning about ICT; technology's impact on students' motivation, behaviour and information literacy; and ICT and the school library.
