Making the Grade: Autonomy and Accountability in Victorian Schools: Draft Summary Report

At the direction of the Victorian Government, the Victorian Competition and Efficiency Commission has conducted an inquiry into school devolution and accountability. The Commission inquired into and reported on the amount of autonomy that schools in Victoria have, and how this affects students, teachers and schools. The Draft Summary Report is now available on the website of the Victorian Competition and Efficiency Commission. See also article in the Herald Sun 7 August 2013.

Digital Technology and Australian Teenagers: Consumption, Study and Careers

This report details findings of a research study commissioned by the Australian Computer Society, conducted with 202 subjects aged 12-18 years at government and non-government high schools in the Australian Capital Territory in 2012. The study generated detailed primary evidence regarding high school student use of ICT, perceptions of use of ICT at school, perceptions of ICT as a discipline, and motivations regarding career choices.
