The Experience of Education: The Impacts of High Stakes Testing on School Students and Their Families: a Qualitative Study

'This research project sought to identify the impacts of high stakes testing on school students and their families, and the signiﬁcance of these impacts for their learning environment.' The study found that NAPLAN is 'a signiﬁcant pedagogical intervention which has some positive uses, but is plagued by negative impacts on learning and on student well-being'.
