Enriching mathematics: the NRICH Project in England

Liz Woodham

The NRICH project provides learning resources for use within England's mathematics curriculum, which has been redeveloped as part of wider reforms designed to promote students' engagement and academic success. Emphasising real-life applications of mathematics, and the relationships between different aspects of the discipline, the curriculum encourages students to collaborate around problem-solving, and explore the use of a range of resources and technologies. This article introduces the NRICH website, and then describes a related project, Engaging Mathematics for All Learners.
