Effective strategies to increase school completion

Today’s young people need higher levels of education and training than previously required to make successful transitions from school to work. In 2008, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development in Victoria commissioned research to identify effective strategies for increasing school completion. The report from this research outlines strategies with demonstrated success in engaging and retaining senior secondary students. A guide that complements the report describes ways for a school to assess locally relevant strategies, and provides practical tips on implementation.
