Project proposal summary
A core team comprising of student leaders, parents and staff from our 7 school communities (with high NESB contributions – up to 82%) will work collaboratively to develop a sustainable program that ensures alignment and consistency of the National Framework for Values Education (2005) and the 2004 NSW DET values (with our core beliefs) across our schools. The major focus of this project will be students enhancing their social and behavioural skills though a strong focus on Responsibility, Respect, Right Choice and Resilience. This project aims to see students’ developing and maintaining positive relationships both at school and at home.
At Merrylands Cluster in New South Wales, three surveys were conducted to obtain information about values in the school community: one for students; one for teachers; and one for parents.
